Hybrid hyperthermia is a further technological development of regional deep hyperthermia, where a classic radiative hyperthermia system is combined with a MR tomograph and is used simultaneously.
The system provides non-invasive three-dimensional temperature control throughout the therapeutic process by way of simultaneous imaging. This means optimized patient safety and easier hyperthermia treatment, since there is no need for invasive catheters.
Hybrid hyperthermia system BSD 2000-3D MRI
This system consists of the MR-compatible BSD 2000-3D therapy system combined with a 1.5 Tesla MRI system of theSiemens Magnetom Symphonytype. The applicator is centrally positioned in the MRI system with the aid of the patient positioning system.
